Silver Spring Ambulance is encouraging the students of Cumberland Valley High School to make good decisions at CV’s senior prom, scheduled for this Friday evening. A social media campaign has been launched with the Twitter hashtag #PromSafeCV. The campaign, created by Assistant Chief Justin Eberly, encourages students to make good decisions this weekend.

As a 2010 Cumberland Valley High School graduate, Eberly has voiced a “firm belief in the power of social media, serving as a mechanism of positive peer influence.” Silver Spring Ambulance aims to encourage community-wide and student peer support in raising awareness of the dangers of poor decision-making, including: drug abuse, driving under the influence, binge drinking, sexual misconduct, violence, and bullying. Silver Spring Ambulance wishes students a happy and safe senior prom.
