The Emergency Health Services Federation (EHSF) defines a clinical save as when a patient in
cardiac arrest is resuscitated by EMS in the field and subsequently survives to be discharged
from a hospital with little or no neurological deficit.
EHSF is the regional EMS Council for Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster,
Lebanon, Perry and York Counties.
